I used move to iPhone to transfer data from my Android. Mostly everything transferred but some messages did not and for the ones that did, only the images and my side of the conversation show up in the iPhone. Am I missing something? Is there some setting that needs to be changed or have I just lost all my messages?

Additionally, you'll want to ensure that your Android device is running Android 4.4 or later and that the Move to iOS app is on version 3.0.2 or later. Also, make sure that your iPhone is updated which can help:
Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Lissy_12 thank you for your response but everything was up to date and I did all of that about 10 times. Went to the Apple store and no one there had ever seen such a thing happen. I think it would be easier to understand and/or fix if none of my messages transferred, but to have just gifs and only my responses transfer was just weird. At any rate, I solved the problem…mostly…by using a third party software.
