Transfer Messages from Android to iPhone after initial iPhone setup
The Move to iOS app on Google anticipates the transfer to occur during iPhone setup. I'm past that stage. All I need to do now is transfer the messages over. Can I do that?

Hey re_der,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, you've already completed the process to move from your Android phone to your new iPhone and need your message history. If that's right, you'll need to erase your iPhone and start the process again. Be sure to choose message history when you see the option for which data to move over. Those details, including what data you can move over, can be found in Step 7 here: Move from Android to iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
7. Choose your content and wait
On your Android device, select the content that you want to transfer and tap Continue. Then—even if your Android device shows that the process is complete—leave both devices alone until the loading bar that appears on your iOS device finishes. Keep your devices near each other and plugged in to power until the transfer completes. The whole transfer can take a while, depending on how much content you're moving.
Here's what gets transferred: contacts, message history, camera photos and videos, photo albums, files and folders, accessibility settings, display settings, web bookmarks, mail accounts, WhatsApp messages and media, and calendars. If they're available on both Google Play and the App Store, some of your free apps will also transfer. After the transfer completes, you can download any free apps that were matched from the App Store.
The steps to erase your device are found in the same guide in Step 2. Here's that link, just in case: How to factory reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Take care!
Telling me to wipe my phone after two days of customizing it and start over solely to transfer the message history is not helpful. The point of my post was to see if there's a way to transfer over only the messages without wiping the phone.
Hry re_der,
We understand your concern with the next recommended step. However, that would be the next best step for this issue. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.
