WhatsApp messages not showing on Apple Watch

Before the normal suggestions come, yes, notifications are turned on and yes, in the watch app WhatsApp is set to mirror my iPhone.

I changed no settings (to my knowledge) and for some reason WhatsApp messages no longer get delivered to my Apple Watch. I have reinstalled WhatsApp (which was a pain in itself) and other notifications get delivered to my Apple Watch like always (so it doesn’t appear to be a paring issue).

Does anyone have a suggestion on what the problem could be and how to fix it?
