iPhone 11 - ios 15.5 noticed that my car was no longer play music via my apple provided USB lightning cable when connected to my car. Shows ipod - no song message. I restarted my phone, did not work, I updated my OS to 15.6 still doesn't work... any suggestions? Should I try a hard reset or is there another step before taking this drastic measure?

Before trying another device -
NOW... I tried my iPhone 11 again after plugging in the 12.. and all apps listed above work again.
While this will probably not resolve ANY issues for any further individuals looking at a similar issue... my current issue is resolved (on it's own, with no real help from Apple - do better with your troubleshooting script, it should not take 3 questions to ask this level of detail)

We'd suggest testing with a different USB cable to see if that helps.
If that doesn't change anything, we'd suggest reaching out to your car or stereo manufacturer to see if they have any updates available.

Got it. Are you using CarPlay or only connecting to via the USB cable? There are some additional steps to take here, depending on how you connect: How to connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your car - Apple Support
If those don't help, are you able to hear sound from other apps? Also, are other devices able to connect to your car and play music?

No updates and have tried 3 different cables... I am still SOL.
USB cable - my car does not have CarPlay. The literal only way to connect is via USB or AUX cable and I have been using Apple Brand USB cables since I got the car in 2013
