Hello everyone,
I have an old (2012) Ford Fiesta but my ipod only shows 3 songs when I plug it into the AUX. Yet, the songs are all there when I use headphones! I would be grateful if anyone has any suggestions as to how I can fix this problem.

To clarify, are you connecting to your car via the headphone jack on the iPod? Once you plug the device in you're no longer able to see all your contents on the iPod, or are you attempting to navigate using the vehicle stereo system? If you connect your iPod to another vehicle, does the same behavior occur?
Additionally, have you tried using a different method of connection to your iPod? We'd recommend testing with a different cable, and if possible, via USB or Bluetooth.

Thank you for your reply. I will try it in another vehicle to see what happens. I did use a USB to connect to the vehicle. The problem was it only played 3 songs although there are numerous songs on it. When I checked on the car screen it listed just the three songs it had been playing. When I returned home, I checked the ipod using headphones and all the songs were there!!
Do they need to be of a specific format or should they all play regardless?

Testing in another vehicle would give us more insight into what's going on. Let us know how it goes.
Also, what version is the iPod touch using in Settings > General > About? Are these songs downloaded or synced to the device for offline listening?
Did you sync these songs from a computer? A Mac or PC?

Thank you for your message.
I originally connected the ipod via a USB, but I have tried using a cable from the headphone jack and that seems to have solved the problem. Although I can't use the car screen to see the list, at least all of the songs are playing.
