Frontmost app follows me on every new Desktop

What is the setting in Preferences where you can toggle the front most app to follow you around every time you open a new Workspace? I'd like to open a new Desktop without the frontmost app appearing every time.

How does switching between desktops work on Mac Ventura? Occasionally things download on a separate desktop window and I am unable to either move them to the main window I am working in or even switch back to that window. I have not discovered any foolproof ways to navigate between other desktop windows. Frankly, I have no use for other desktop windows...can I turn that feature off entirely? How to unhide windows all belonging to the same app I have the same problem with all apps, from finder to a browser. If we take finder for example, if I have more than one finder window open, I want to be move from one window to another quickly. However the usual window swapping approaches using CMD-tab or the dock only rotate between apps, but not between windows in the same app. Is there a quick way to do this and even better could I make it a short cut? At the moment I have to use the Window menu and manually select the different windows at the bottom of that menu, which is slow and cumbersome. Because they are not fixed menu commands, you can't setup a shortcut.

Navigate to the preferred Desktop you want to assign a specific application to.

Control - Click the application icon on the Dock.

Options > Assign to > All Desktops or This Desktop.

Nb. You can set multiple applications to a specific Desktop.
