AppleMusic Override By Other Apps

When I’m listening to Apple’s Music app, and I open a web browser or social media, a video playing in that app will override Music. This is especially annoying if it’s a video that plays automatically, so I can’t just not click it. Even more annoying when I’m using HomePod, and an ad or video is suddenly blaring across my house. Can I make it stop? Can Apple make it stop? Do I need to pull out the old 8-track player when I want to use my phone?
