Why doesn’t Apple TV+ have a resume?

Trying to watch a series is impossible on Apple TV+ ! Every time I go back to watch I have to go from the start of the episode.

After more testing I’ve discovered Apple simply doesn’t test their software, as an Apple user for over 20 years there is no surprise there!!

Resume an episode

  1. Does not exist under the menu “Watch Now” , every episode I tried to resume starts from the beginning.
  2. Resume does exist under TV+ menu, however it simply shows “Time left” visually on the Show image, however not all TV shows work “For all Mankind” would not show time left no matter how many times I tried. Also there is no option to start from the beginning .
  3. The word “Resume” does actually exist , I stumbled across this trying to find a trailer, selecting the show from one of the other sections like “most popular now” “Latest Originals” or “Watch Entire Seasons” brings up an episode list and a “Resume Episode “ !!

It’s simply poorly designed and seems to show a lack of beta testing or feedback to the developers, or as I suspect Apple have ignored this as it’s not top of their priorities as designated by the Apple Marketing team:(
