100,000 Song Limit

I'm a bit over the iCloud library limit and would like to remove songs from the iCloud library while keeping them on my computer in iTunes. I've read how to remove Downloads from computer and from computer and ICloud but not how to pare down the iCloud library while being able to listen to the music on my computer. If there's a way to do this, I would love to learn it. Thanks!!!

The easiest way might be to shift-start-iTunes to create a new empty library, enable iCloud Music Library AKA Sync Library, then select and delete songs you want to remove from iCloud Music Library. When you switch back to your original library the relevant items will now have a cloud status of Removed and should no longer be counting towards your track limit. See Identify cloud status icons in your music library on your Mac or PC - Apple Support.
