Card Charged but Order is Processing?

I ordered a MacBook Air recently on the Apple Education Store which ensured a $150 gift card along with the Mac as a student discount. As my order is being processed, I was charged $150 to my account, but the order has not been processed and I have not yet received the gift card through email as stated. Is this just a way of Apple confirming I will pay the total or should I be concerned?
