iCloud Drive won't let me turn on 'Desktop' and 'Documents'

Hi,

My iCloud is setup in my iMac. Everything is on, only when I try to tick the box for "Folder 'Desktop' and 'Documents' " and I press Finish, then check back, the ticked box is unticked again... I have tried logging in on my iCloud again, rebooting, updating, everything. Nothing helps.

Someone has an idea?

Can’t start iCloud Drive on macOS I recently logged out of my iCloud account, and when I came back all my documents disappeared. I was able to find them by logging into iCloud.com and accessing the iCloud drive. However, I can only access them on the web browser. For some reason, I can’t get to the location in system settings for starting up iCloud Drive. I go into system settings, and click on my profile. The only things I see are personal information, sign-in & security, payment & shipping, and media & purchases. Under “devices” it just said “failed to load devices”. I tried restarting my computer and also redownloading the macOS to the Macintosh drive. Another issue is that I actually ended up updating my macOS to the latest version while I was trying to figure out where my files went (so before I realized I was also having issues with iCloud Drive), so I have absolutely no idea if this issue was caused by logging out of my iCloud or from the update.

iCloud Drive not loading When I open iCloud on on the web, I get a notice that says "There was a problem loading this content" in the iCloud Drive section. I tried again later by clicking the link below the message, but nothing happens. I also tried rebooting several times. The links below to, for example, Documents does work. I have recently wiped this computer, then reinstalled Ventura. This computer is a 2017 21.5" screen iMac.

Desktop and Documents files to iCloud Drive does not turn on Can't allow desktop and documents to store in Icloud in Ventura 13.5 on Imac 2020. Toggle switch is visible in settings, but when it's turn on in Icloud "store in Icloud" the toggle turns back to off: Setting> user name > icloud> icloud> desktop and documents. Under Setting > user name>manage storage> icloud the message says I need to delete some files to free up storage. Under About> storage settings>recommendations>Store in icloud >when clicked I'm asked if I want to store in icloud when clicked message changes to "optimize" then back to "store in cloud" without any additional clicks. How do I fix it so the documents for the computer stop saving to the computer and sync with Icloud? I'm running out of space on the computer. Currently documents account for 194 GB of computer space. All folder downloaded files have been removed. thanks

Everything is on 12.4, syncing never starts.
