keyboard randomly typing whole words

My keyboard is randomly adding repeated whole words while I am typing. For example, I will be typing and I type the word "receive" and my keyboard adds it twice so that the second version, (the one I didn't type) appears to the right of the cursor....it happens with all different kinds of words and programs....I am on a 2019 iMac and running MacOS Monterey 12.4.....

Typing jumps to another line in middle of sentence While typing on my MacBook air (M1 chip), I notice that it is all of a sudden it is typing the rest of my sentence or phrase on another part of the page two or three lines above or below. This occurs when I am typing in Microsoft Word, MacMail, messaging or texting.It seems to be a problem with the keyboard rather than with any of the software programs. Is there a fix for this? It is quite annoying. Since I type rather fast, I frequently don't realize this until I am proofreading the text and it becomes so muddled that I must start over.

Keyboard skips forward and get a weird text box with symbols popping up When I type anything. Texting or emailing on my Mac the curser will intermittently skip forward sometimes 4 to 5 spaces. Also a little text box with weird symbols pops up for a few seconds then goes away. I turned off by bluetooth to the keyboard then turned it back on. What causes this(just got the weird text box again after typing the word causes).

That's really odd, and I'm wondering if it is similar to this recent complaint: Delete Key removes space too - Apple Community

The cure was to restart the Mac in Safe Mode, followed by restarting it normally:
