I’ve been told it’s not a problem home defect I no longer have service through vzw, and the phone won’t read other SIM cards won’t switch carriers and doesn’t call haven’t gotten a call since February on here either???

Best Buy does not sell unlocked iPhones. The phones they sell will lock to the first carrier used.
Follow the instructions in the document linked in the post above to have the phone unlocked by Verizon.
Why will my iphone12 mini not read a sim, not switch carriers and not make calls? It’s paid off and purchases through Best Buy….???
