Removing exercise minutes added in error to Fitness App

I wanted to manually add a workout I did without my watch on, and when I did I accidentally entered way too many minutes - saying I started my exercise on 1 day and didn’t end it for 3 days!!!

this then added way too many minutes to my exercise trends and totals, throwing everything out of whack! It thinks I exercised for 22 hours in 1 day for 3 days in a row!!!

I have deleted the incorrect workout - but the totals on my fitness app are still incorrect almost 20 hours later!

is there a way to delete this data from my fitness and remove my new record for fitness minutes ???

any help would be greatly appreciated as I watch these trends daily right now

The first (and simplest) thing to try if something isn’t working right is to restart your Apple Watch and its paired iPhone. If necessary (device not responding), try a forced restart. Both methods can be found here:

If that doesn't help, the next steps would be to unpair and pair your watch again and restore from the backup just created. This should result in no loss of data. It deletes all temp and corrupted files and re-indexes the file system.
