My MacBook will not let me update

My MacBook will not let me update it and stated the one drive is no longer compatible as no longer supports MacBook with update and so my MacBook will not update.Can I deletion Drive, would that let me still update my MacBook??

You can uninstall One Drive as it's just an app. Drag it to the Trash from the Applications folder. For a more complete removal, the app AppCleaner is free and safe and does a good job.


One Drive is likely not the source of your update problems, that's most likely because of the age of your computer for certain OS versions. Inability to update certain apps can likewise be related to age of the OS. You've stated nothing about either your Mac or the OS, so this is just a guess.

If your MacBook is not officially supported by newer versions of macOS, then you will not be able to update if you are on the latest version your MacBook supports. There are ways to patch newer versions of macOS onto older MacBooks, but be aware that support for yours may be limited and patches will most likely be unstable.


The latest version of macOS, macOS Monterey (10.2), is compatible with these Mac computers.
