Hi Rshepard, I suggest try the basics:

  • Reboot the AppleTV and TV
  • In Settings>Video and Audio, use the "check HDMI connection" function.
  • Make sure both the AppleTV and TV are running the latest software.


If this doesn't remedy the issue, I suggest trying the following:

  • Reseat the HDMI cable on both connection sides
  • Try a new HDMI cable
  • Try a different HDMI port on your TV
  • Review the HDMI settings on your TV
