don't know old password

I had forgot my password so I took it to get reset now I am trying to get all my messages back on my phone but it needs to the old password but I don't know it? what do I do

To restore messages and other Apple ID data you need to know the password of the Apple ID they’re linked to - if you have forgotten it you can reset the password by following these steps:
