activating iMessage and Facetime

I have installed an eSIM and a physical SIM on my iPhone12Pro and have been unable to get iMessage and Facetime to work with my "physical" SIM. Multiple attempts to activate these features across all numbers have failed.

The eSIM is a US number and the physical SIM is an India (+91) number and am currently subscribed to T-Mobile and (pre-paid) Airtel for service, respectively.

I am currently in India on Business and need to have the iMessage and Facetime feature enabled for my India number.

Can anyone help me with this request? I have tried all the fixes recommended on various forums but have not had success.

The Physical SIM (India Number) must be on International Roaming and should be able to Send and Receive SMS for activating iMessage & FaceTime using the Phone Number.

To activate iMessage and FaceTime using your Phone number

First, check to know whether you have an SMS plan enabled at least for One SMS with your carrier. Contact your Carrier (Cellular Service Provider) the agency that issued the SIM to you

If your iPhone is used with a carrier not found in the wireless carrier articles, make sure you can send and receive international SMS. (One SMS Only)

If you can't turn on or sign in to iMessage or FaceTime - Apple ...
