libjvm.dylib cannot be open- MacOS Monterey

Hi,

I have to install an image analysis software that I trust (Imaris-Bitplane). However, I need to run the Matlab MCR 2014, which requires to open libjvm.dylib

However, I cannot open it because cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified.

After going to Preferences/Security& Privacy/, I do not see the "Allow anyway".

It is only when I cancel the opening of the dylib, that the "Allow anyway" shows up. I continue clicking on it, but it is stuck and doesn't go away, and doesn't allow me to open this dylib.

It is pretty anoying, more becasue I trust Matlab people!

Thanks for your help

Chloe

Hello Cvot-themicroscopist,

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. We understand you're unable to open and use an application, as an error message appears that it cannot be verified. We can help point you in the right direction.

It appears you followed the appropriate steps outlined in this helpful article: Safely open apps on your Mac Specifically the section that says, "If you want to open an app that hasn’t been notarized or is from an unidentified developer."

Since the steps within that section did not help, we recommend to restart your Mac in safe mode. This helps to verify your startup disk, deletes some system caches and more. Here's an article with additional details and the proper steps to take: How to use safe mode on your Mac Once you're in safe mode, please restart your Mac as normal and see if you can open the third party application without any issues.

Please keep us posted with the results.

Kind regards.
