Hi,

It depends on how old your older MacBook Pro is. If older MacBook Pro has Thunderbolt 1 or 2 port, you can connect each other via USB-C to Thunderbolt 2 adapter. If it doesn't, you need to get USB-C to USB adapter or via WiFi could connect, though it's very slow.
