HOW DO I TURN OFF ALL CAPS FOR NAMES

I am SO sick of the Apple keyboard autocorrecting names to call caps! How the **** do I turn this off? I want autocapitalization for regular words, however, what I don’t want is Danielle turned into DANIELLE because it thinks I want that for some asinine reason. I’ve already put the correct spelling into text replacement and it does NOT work. Please help.

Confirm your language is set as you expect, too. (Settings > General > Language & Region) Some regions will routinely upcase names, though I don't know if the Apple autocorrupt will incorporate that on the regional settings.

And before disabling autocorrupt entirely (which is certainly and always an option), consider resetting the keyboard dictionary (Settings > General > Reset > Reset Keyboard Dictionary), which will cause existing names and spellings learned—outside of what's been saved from Mail and Contacts apps and such—to be discarded and re-learned.

If you do have saved names with mis-casing (such as saved Contacts data for folks in other regions), autocorrupt can and will pick those up.
