how to delete child in family sharing

I created a Apple ID for a child on my iPhone 7 but I forgot the password I created for it. Now I want to take off my family sharing and delete or remove that Apple ID from my account but even if I am the one who created it, I cannot seem to take it off. I was giving my iPhone 7 to my daughter but I cannot reset it back to factory. steps on what I should do?

If you forgot the Apple ID (iCloud) password, enter the Apple (iCloud) ID, and click Forgot Password. See if you can get a Rescue or Notification email option if necessary. Link to contact Apple Support at the end of the 2nd article.
