Apple watch walkie talkie app not working

me(apple watch series 6) an my friend(apple watch series 3) have been trying to set up our walkie talkie apps. They don’t seem to work though we have tried everything that apple suggested(updating, bluetooth and switching settings). We are looking for a little guidance he can connect to other watches I have only tried his and it just says we do not receive the invites.

Walkie-Talkie works over a FaceTime audio connection. That means you both have to have FaceTime installed on your iPhones, and are both logged into FaceTime using your Apple ID's.

Can you make FaceTime connections between your 2 iPhones?


It can help if Contacts lists the other person's cell phone number as being an "iPhone" and not just a generic mobile phone.


I'm assuming both of you have iOS 12.4 or newer (like iOS 14 or 15) and watchOS 5.3 or newer (like watchOS 7 or 8).


I'm going to assume that both of your Apple Watches were purchased in a country that allows Walkie-Talkie (not all countries do, and the Apple Watch knows where it was purchased)
