Iphone showing wrong model

I reset my iPhone 11 Pro Max and updated it with the data from my husbands iPhone 8plus. after I had finished the About under settings shows the model name as iPhone 8. Something I had noticed with earlier models too but not worried about until now when I found the option for facial recognition was missing.

I removed all data and settings but it still comes up as an iPhone 8. It can not be edited like the name can. The model number is also the number for an 8.

I don't see how this can happen to a non- jail broken phone.

Do a DFU recovery on your phone, set up as new without restoring backup and look again at your About.
