Unable to update MacOS - MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2013)

I have a MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2013) but can't seem to update to Big Sur (which it seems I should be able to run). Current MacOS is High Sierra version 10.13.6. No option to update in App Store.
