Key repeat does not work anymore for left/right arrows in Messages on macOS. AFAIK it was working before. Now I need to tap the keys to move backward/forward in the text I am typing. Anyone knows if it is a bug or there to stay? If so, any way to make key repeat work with left/right arrows again?

To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...
Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.
Does it work in the new account?

Thanks for your reply. Key repeats are set up properly in the OS and work as expected. In fact, they even work as expect in Messages, except for the left and right arrows. The problem I'm referring to is specifically about key repeats only for left and right arrows and only in Messages app.
I guess it had something to do with an update of either the system or Messages, because it started working again without me having to do anything.
