I haven't just set up my phone or a new iPad? Could someone being hacking my phone or computer?

I have received the notice Your Apple ID is now being used for iMessage and FaceTime on a new iPad. I don't have a new iPad. It also said this was being used on my MacBook Pro and my iPad.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

If you have recently updated, or have recently reset and re-loaded an iPad, it’s (confusingly) normal.
