Downgrade 16-inch MacBook Pro.

I want a new MacBook Pro 16” with the 5600M.

I am told computer purchased NOW will come with MacOS Big Sur.

Our mission critical corporate applications are incompatible with BS.

Is there anyway to downgrade a Mac that comes with a higher OS (Like BS) down to MacOS Catalina?

Leroy,

Yes — I know.

What is not clear are made-to-order machines produced now considered to have the first operation system they were released with —— Catalina —— or the operating system Apple installs on them when they are made Q2 2021 —— Big Sur?

Thoughts?

If the Mac Shipped with Catalina I would suspect it could still run Catalina,

or you downloaded it from Apple server:

older macOS  installer backups on this server
