Hi, I'm currently upgrading my 2010 iMac with an SSD to make it fast, and I'm having trouble with the thermal sensor and I'm worried about the fans speed, and I'm trying not to spend money... Is there any free solutions? I like to know by tonight, please!

You have to carefully remove the sensor off of the old drive and stick it on the new SSD. That sensor is required to operate the fan speed correctly. If the sensor or cable is damaged, then you will need to replace it.
Also what SSD are you using. I ask because the 2010 Mac’s only have a SATA ll 3G drive controller and you need to make sure that the SSD is SATA ll 3G or backwards comparable to SATA ll 3G.

Install: Mac Fan Control by Crystalidea if your OS is 10.13 or higher.
You can control the fans manually or automatically or based on a different sensor.
