Using Macbook as second monitor for iMac

I am trying to use my Macbook Air 2017 (thunderbolt 2) as a second monitor for my 2021 iMac. I’m struggling to find a cable to connect the two.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.2

It won't work because neither of those Mac's support Target Display Mode.
