large video file

ipad photos app wont allow me to edit an 11 GB video. i want to break the file into smaller parts so i can transfer it to PC

Video compression I recorded a 10 minute video on my iPad. The resultant file was 1.3GB and is next to unusable due to its size. There are no settings to change the format under which the file is saved. How do I create videos with my iPad that are not gigantic? I've spent several hours downloading various apps but all are overly complicated or require me to pay which I really don't want to do - I've just spend a fortune on an expensive iPad! I Movie file very large I shot some videos on my iPhone XR with the record video at 4K at 30fps. I uploaded them to IMovie and made a continuous video out of them. When I went to export the file size for the 1080 format is 7.7GB for a 50 minute video. This will be for an online course I'm creating. I've never done this before and this is my first time really using IMovie. I'm wondering if this file is too large for an online course that people will need to access to watch and if so what I should do about it. Also, if I export this file to an external hard drive, can I delete it from IMovie to make room for other online class projects? Thanks so much!

If you choose the video and tap Edit, there will appear a circle with 3 dots that appear in the upper right hand corner of the Photos app.

This will allow you to export/edit the video in Apple's iMovie app for iOS.

Not sure if you will be able to break the video file into smaller pieces, or not.
