The latest update removed half of my music

I clicked on the recent upgrade and now half of my music is missing.

Perhaps this article will help:

If songs are missing from your music library after you turn on Sync Library - Apple Support

If not, do you have a backup you can restore?

Back up and restore your iTunes library on your PC - Apple Support
