Since Big Sur the wake up from sleep mode takes very very long. The wheel is spinning for a long time, until I can login.
I have an iMac 27" 5k (late 2014) 4Ghz Quad-Core i7 with 32GB RAM and 500 GB SSD.
Never experienced that under Catalina.
