MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.2
You don't mention which MacBook Air you have so I can't recommend a specific hub, but just get a powered usb hub, connect it to the MBA and connect the drives to it. The important thing is to get a powered hub.

I have the newest one, MacBook Air (M1, 2020), but I think your answer does help!

If your drives have their own power supplies you won't need a powered hub. Not having an M1 I don't know how many drives you can power from the internal bus.
