27" Thunderbolt Brightness control

I have a 2012 Macbook pro 15" connected to a 27" Thunderbolt.

I am not able to adjust the brightness on it, any help to enlighten me on this subject?

Try disconnecting and reconnecting it. Ctrl-F1 and -F2 should adjust brightness.

Auto brightness on Mac Hi, do you know how auto brightness on Mac works when you adjust it manually? Let me explain. I have auto brightness turned on. I was wondering what will happen if I adjust it manually - when will it go back to auto setting? Will it treat my adjustment as a min or max level of brightness or will it reset it? Example: I’m in dark room. Auto brightness dim display but I manually make make it maximally bright. Will it always be so bright in dark rooms or will it go back to brightness before manual adjustment?

Adjust the automatic brightness adjustment. I want to keep "Automatically adjust brightness" for my Macbook Pro (13-in, purchased 2019), but the automatic adjustment makes the screen too dark when the room is dark. So, I go to the System Preferences and increase the brightness. Then, when the room becomes bright, the screen becomes too bright. So, I want to reduce the "amplitude" of the brightness adjustment. Is there such a parameter?
