I have macOS 10.13.6, but need to upgrade to at least 10.14 to install Microsoft 365. I tried to upgrade to latest Mojave but then run into issue of prior version no longer being available. I'm stuck. Please help!

Then it is easier to get Big Sur.

Your Mac must be 2012 or later to use Mojave.
You don't need to upgrade your OS unless you are ready to. You can install previous versions of Office 365 from this link:
