will safari still operate with macOS Catalina (late 2012)? or is it time for a new computer?

Thanks, it had been very sluggish for a good while. I turned off the computer for a period of time and than restarted and it has worked fine since. Thanks for your reply. I thought age of the computer might have caught up with it. Thanks again. If it happens again I will look for other solutions.
