Installing more up to date Safari on old mac

Hi, I have an old macOS SIERRA 10.12.6 running with Safari 12.1.2 browser. Is there any more up to date Safari version - I could install on my old machine, without doing any harm to it ?

Latest Version of Safari for Catalina? I have a MacBook Pro running Catalina. Please no judgement! LOL. I haven't upgraded to a new OS because there are always huge changes that affect my online teaching job, and as I teach six days a week, I don't generally have time to do the huge back up, download, and install. However, one of the websites I regularly use is telling me my Safari is out of date. I'm sure it is. What is the most recent version of Safari that will run on Catalina? I'm running Safari 15.6.1 on my Catalina OS 10.15.7. Can I update Safari without updating my entire OS? Thanks!

Without upgrading the OS, no; your Mac can be upgraded at least as far as High Sierra.
