ECG on Apple Watch in Australia.

If I was to purchase a current model Apple Watch in New Zealand will the ECG function continue to work on my return to Australia

No and here's why;

For the ECG app to work on your watch the ECG app has to be approved by;

A. the government of the country in which the watch was bought and

B.the government of the country in which you reside.

Sure and it selects an affiliated provider without any help from you and other clever stuff. The question is how does “Big Brother” get involved with what’s on your phone unless a customs person wants to check your video collection on your mobile as you enter a foreign country. All my Apps still work in the UK, with the exception of GPS and weather apps but I’m sure the gov have no influence there.
