Purchasing certified refurbished products

hi guys

I wanted some feedback or if anyone knows an answer to this. I am looking to purchase a certified refurbished MacBook Pro off the apple site but was wondering if seller refurbished items are eligible for apple warranty purchased a month after the MacBook purchase, if that makes sense? I am aware of 60 days after product is purchased but want to know if that is also applied to refurbished items.

need a last minute MacBook for schooling but cannot afford both the MacBook and extra apple warranty at the same time but I can buy it within the 60 days.
