The headphones just don't appear in the list of devices. Tried everything from shutting down both devices etc.
Mac runs on MacOS Catalina 10.15.7 currently.

did you put the headset into pairing mode?

this is required the first time one connect to a headset, likely to avoid your neighbor or kid prank you by connecting to your headset and bluetooth headset to mess with you.
