I recently got an Apple Watch series 6. Today i closed the all activity rings for the first time. When i closed the rings i didn’t get the fireworks animation any of the times that i closed a ring today. Previous days when i had closed the stand ring i had got a animation for that ring. The reason my be because i updated to watchOS 7.1 from 7 but i don’t know.

I believe I cracked the code of why the fireworks won't show when you complete the three rings, at least in my case. It is not simply a bug. It is a systematic design failure that's too subtle for Apple to notice and fix.
First of all, I have turned on all settings that should allow the fireworks to show. So it's not about the settings.
The real reason is that, when you complete all three rings, if you also have a streak record, or achieve a 200% 300% or 400% move goal completion, the systems sends out an additional notice along with the three-ring completion notice, which cancels the fireworks.
That means, if you, for example, are on your longest streak of your workout, it's very likely that you won't see the fireworks because the system will rush to tell you that you achieve a streak before it tells you that you completed your three rings, and pooff... your fireworks won't show!
My own customized solution for to this is that, which is unfortunate, I set my Move goal to 10 calories a day, which is extremely easy to achieve, so that I can complete this goal and 200% 300% or 400% move goals in like an hour or so, as well as the longest streak, so that the systems sends out all these notifications way before I complete the rest of the rings. While my actual move goal is 600 calories a day. I then complete the stand and exercise goals later. I set the exercise goal as one hour, but I'll keep the timer of exercising even when it goes beyond one hour, until I burn 600 calories, and then I end the exercise. If by then I already complete my stand ring, then the system will show the three ring complete notice while playing the fireworks animation.
Yup. Every single day, I hit all three goals and never get the animation. My husband does the same -- and ALWAYS gets the animation. I'm just so disappointed that my Apple product does not work exactly the same way my husband's does, as intended. And no one at Apple has an answer. Beyond frustrating.

notifications you get with each animation. You know my red never works. My green and my
blue works when there is one notification. Yesterday nothing worked and there were 2-3 notifications with each goal achieved!
I just finished my stand point for the day and that was my only goal finished and I didn’t see the animation. I’ve not switched off Notification Grouping completely. Let’s see what happens.
I also have a Move streak! Haha. Mines at 108 days now so I really don’t want to break it to check either. Hopefully we can get to the bottom of this!
Nope, it didn’t work and I think you’re right. It’s because of the Move Streak. This means that I have to get my move streak before I finish my stand streak. That way, I’ll at least see the three ring fireworks animation 😬

BTW, i just came in from a walk, and got the move red ring animation. In the past i got in the beginning, and then it stopped and it drove me crazy! until i figured out my situation and the move streak and the multiple notifications. I need to see these animations hahha😀
Yea I completely blame Apple and they better be looking at this and fix it! That is so sad a ridiculous that you all are having to do all this extra stuff to fix it. I really wish the recalibration would have worked like it did for me. I never changed my move goal and I get the streaks too and still get my firework animation for red and blue and then of course all 3 of the colors when I’ve met all 3 for the day. Apple needs to fix it period cause it’s ridiculous that any of you would have to put your calories to burn so low just to try to “work around” their error smh. I’m so frustrated for you all because if I was still dealing with this I would have lost it lol smh. I really hope like you said they’re looking at the desperation and all the issues we all have had and what we’ve tried to do on our own and just fix this!!!!!
I know right! I would like to know too. So much money spent to get only annoyance and frustration! I am going to try the Meridien face tomorrow.

RIGHT LOL!!!! 😂😂😂 I want those rings so bad. Mine is off and it’s been off the whole time.
So u are saying when using the workout app, and complete the ring, it doesn’t give animation, but just the notification? I will pay more attention🙂 I need to be celebrated for my effort😀
