Is there a way to lock my text messaging app or other apps? My kids play with my phone and I don’t want them going through or into certain apps!! So I just need a few apps blocked

Thank you and that part I do understand but you figure with all the money we spend on Apple products I would be able to lock certain apps..... I didn’t think it was possible but I just figured I would ask..

Try Guided Access which keeps the iPhone in a single app, and allows you to control which features are available.
Settings > Accessibility > Guided Access
Try Down time when your kids have your phone and set the Always Allowed Apps and use Screen Time Passcode
