How do I delete data on my watch to allow for update? I have inactivated as many apps as I can

My watch needs 3.1 data and I only have 2.4 available. I have deleted all the apps that I can. How else can I reduce data to allow the update?

Unpair the watch from your iPhone then pair it back.
