Lost Photos

After I got a new iphone and traded back my old one, I couldn't find any of the photos from my old iphone and I do not see them in iCloud backups even though I did backup my phone. Is there anything that I can do? I have been trying to find these photos for over a year and have had no luck. I am absolutely devastated because my old phone contained all of my traveling pictures :(

LOST PHOTOS - Didn't all upload to my iCloud from old phone! I had to hand in my phone back to my ex-employer as I left the company a month ago. The night before I tried uploading and saving everything to the drive, as I had been paying for increased storage etc, however my photo's kept pausing and now I have lost 2 years worth of photos. I have 2015-2018 and 2021, but nothing in-between. Can I restore all these old photos to my phone as they were on the final backup my phone did? I've looked for them on iCloud photos and cannot find them, but hoping they'd be saved as part of the old backup?

Pictures lost I'm missing a ton of pictures my husband and I had sent back and forth in our message thread. I got a new phone last year. I just noticed today when I was looking back at them. It's been since November, and I don't have my old phone. I backed the old one up with Icloud and had to buy more storage. Is there any way I can get those back?
