When I text iPhone device my old number pops up, but when I text android, my new number pops up. When I call it shows my new number.

How do I erase my old number from my account and register my new one? Why does my old number pops up when I text iPhones?

My number Iv got a new iPhone 13 pro max and iv kept my old phone number, iv switched my number over from my old provider to my new one however when I text people it’s not coming through as my number it’s the one that was given by my provider, iv been to the settings where it shows my number and iv tried to change it and save it but it just keeps going back to the number that’s stored! phone number appears deregistered but only to my own devices?? occasionally it's just easier for me to send a link to my own phone number so that it appears on my iPad. However, since I got the new iPhone 14 promax, my phone keeps thinking that my own phone number is Deregistered and it will show up as text message instead of iMessage. My iPad 12 pro max which I got a year and a half ago usually still sees the number as registered but occasionally it also does not. This does not happen to anybody else that I know of, that has an iphone or ipad, with whom i communicate. it only does it to my own devices. I have tried logging in and out of my Apple ID on both devices, and logging out of iMessage, turning iMessage on an off on both devices etc. and it works for a very short time and then the messages go back to green. A few weeks ago it worked to just send to my phone from the iPad and then everything would be blue again for a few minutes but tonight it's not even doing that.

iMessage number different I recently got a new iPhone and had my old number moved across. This is fine unless I am contacted with iMessage or use iMessage as it seems to still be on the new phone number and not my original. My original number comes up when I ring or message anyone not on Apple. I have gone onto settings and tried deactivating imessage and turning off for 10min and back on again as seen on some forums. But when I go to turn iMessage on the only options are still my new number and email. The new number is greyed out also and can not be unticked?! Please help!

Have you checked to see if you old number is on your card in Contacts and also checked your Apple ID to see if it is listed there?
