If I want to backspac multiple letters, normally you can hold the backspace key, and then all letters will disappear until you release this key. Now only the last letter disappears, until I press the button again. If I keep holding the backspace key, only the last letter disappears.
Anyone ideas/tips?

Check System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard tab, is the Key Repeat slider set to Off? If so, move it to the right.
