Zoom Crashing Network on MacBook Pro

I'm having trouble with Zoom Meetings on my new MacBook Pro (running Catalina 10.15.6). I'm the host of a Zoom meeting with 26 participants. Without fail, about 5 minutes into each meeting - my entire network shuts off. I'm hard-wiring in with an ethernet cable, and usually experience no trouble. When the network shuts off, I can't access the LAN line or Wifi until I restart the computer. Has anyone else had this issue or know a work-around? (I have a back up PC running in the meeting and that keeps its connection consistently). I've been in touch with my Internet service provider, and all seems good there. I'm running the latest update of Zoom too. Could it all be a bandwidth issue that goes back to my Internet Service provider? Or is it something to do with Zoom and the computer?

I've got a Satechi USB hub (Thunderbolt 3 port) with ethernet cable attached to my MacBook Pro 2020 (Big Sur). It will work all day long providing stable internet, but reacts the same way with Zoom. Complete failure, and all internet connection shuts down, while we have extensively troubleshooted tracking the IP address: everything looks fine. This happened three times to me today already.

I know this is an old post, but I do have one possible tip: unplugging the Satechi hub from the port keeps me from having to restart my computer. Then wi-fi picks up and Zoom continues.

(None of this ever occurred with my 2013 MacBook Pro. Absolutely 100% reliable with ethernet cable connection.)

Has anyone been able to contact support at Zoom? My subscription doesn’t offer phone support, but I’d be very interested in what Zoom has to say about all of this. It seems we’ve all tried several options, from changing docks to optimizing CPU to contacting Apple and ISPs, to no avail. Can someone please comment as to having success with Zoom customer support, since so many of us are relying on this platform for our livelihoods?

Macbook Pro 2019 with Catalina and now Big Sur. Been experiencing zoom meeting crashes every second or third zoom meeting. Usually happens part way into an hour meeting. happens when I host a meeting. happens when others are hosting. Happens on ethernet and wireless. If I am on ethernet, I can take the dongle out and put it back in and sometimes get back into my meeting. If on wireless, the meeting usually comes back within a minute or two. I got a new router from verizon. then I got a new ont/ond. then I replaced the coax cable to the router with ethernet. nothing has worked. zoom says it is network problems, verizon says nothing is wrong with the router or connection.

I think there’s definitely an issue on the zoom side. I can do webEx and teams all day long. I don’t have issues on WiFi though with Zoom, it’s Ethernet where there’s some sort of memory leak or overrun that takes down the connection. I have to disconnect the Ethernet cable and wait for MacOS to reestablish the a connection via WiFi.

it’s happened in my office and at home with different routers and providers. It’s Zoom.
