How do I make my Apple TV work? it’s
the old remote by the way The apple box seems to be working as it flashes every time I hit a button but nothing changes on my TV

You may need to (re-)link the remote to the Apple TV box. See If your Apple TV remote isn’t working - Apple Support (2nd half of the page). Don’t skip step 1, as the previous link may have to be cleared.
