ECG on Series 5

The ECG on my Apple Watch 5 no longer works. I place my finger on the crown and only occasionally does it start to read. It will give a very strange reading for 5 seconds then will reset to 30 seconds and goes back to the start telling me to place my finger again. I am running the current 6.2.8 OS but haven't been successful with an ECG in over a month.

Try to restart your Apple Watch.

If that doesn’t work try to unpair and pair your watch again and restore from the backup:
